Writing blogs – are they worth it?

There are different aspects of blogging that need to be considered before understanding it’s worth.

As a marketing professional, yes, blogging is worth it. Carving out your little presence in the digital world can be so helpful for your business. It’s great for back links, sources and really just helps your business be found.

The more important question is, what makes your blog interesting? 

As a mom, most of my blog content relates to motherhood and my journey thus far. There are tons of moms and women who have gone through similar experiences that I have. Creating a little online community in sharing the challenges and hacks can really make a world of a difference.

So I guess blogs are worth it. But how do we decide what to make for content and how do we make our content digestible?

Typically content that is entertaining, educational and motivational works really well for traffic. And that was something I struggled with. Some days I just want to vent and not think about an overarching goal of getting eyes to read.

Blogging can be exhausting because I have tried to construct my blogs as little essays. And really, while that is a good guideline, any blog structure works! Again, it’s all about presence and carving out a really small corner of the internet.

If your goal is to expand your audience or nurture a community, blogging is a super useful tool.
