Hi, my name is Maria
My life now is so different than anything I could ever have imagined. I have a beautiful one year old daughter named Maya. She is my whole world.
My hubby works full-time as a plumber and also has his own service plumbing company. When he isn’t working we are off adventuring into the wilderness of Greater Vancouver.
I was an active participant in Vancouver and developed my love for building community.
Being a mom wasn’t an easy transition for me.
It has been mentally and emotionally challenging. I wasn’t ready despite all the reading and prep I did. Everyone says you’ll never be ready and they’re right!
I still find it challenging – especially with COVID19. Here’s to hoping we all survive this with our sanity in tact 🙂
What do I do now?
Happiness activist
Sustainable Consumer
Community builder
Stay at home Mom
Flash back 10 years ago
After completing my undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University, I founded a third party fundraising not for profit aimed at supporting local charities. I also volunteered at various community events, took part-time evening courses to learn more about marketing management, networked with city professionals all while working full-time so I could afford to live in Vancouver.
